I am a man of contradictions, and I'm alright with that. Another year older, another year wiser, another year trying to be me. I'm fiercely independent yet totally at ease in the company of others. I try to go through life without regrets, without apologies. I know what I want, but my wants can change like a child's Christmas list. I see the best in others, but I know what terrible things we do to one another. I'm comfortable in my own skin,I am my own best friend, but totally unsure of what to give/hold back from that man in the mirror. In short, I'm human...and I'm alright with that! I want to have it all, but I need to share some things. I want to be accepted on my own terms, but sometimes wonder if I'm being too selfish, and if so...should I care? I like me as I am, I know some change is needed, but I refuse to change, despite the futility of that endeavor...what if I no longer like who I've become? I now step into the next phase of my existence, comfortable with the past, wary of the present, and curious about the future. I won't go back there, can't remain here, so forward is all thats left! I remember where I've been, and I know exactly where I am...I can only feel excited about where I am headed, the best is yet to come! So, what you see is what you get, but what you see ain't all of it. Can you feel me? Hope I see you when I get there, and if not... I'm alright with that too!
