I don't need a man,
in order to make me feel,
like a woman.
Though,
one would feel so good, right about now.

But, I do want one with me,
in those heavy moments,
when I'm feeling weak, tired & lonely.

I want him to truly know me,
someone to show me,
that he excepts my strenghts,
and respects my confidence.

Now, I don't need a man with a lot of money
But I do want one, that's packing,
packing his own goals and his own dreams.
Starting off with one who upholds womanhood,
in high esteem.

Now, I don't need a man
of any particular color
But, I do want a brotha
one who openly loves God,
more than he loves a woman.

He will even go to church with me,
he will hurt for me,
and in time he will search with me.
And, when I'm trying to find answers,
to lost questions, he becomes a blessing.

Now, I don't need a man with a lot of religion,
but one who believes in God.
And, as such, he's in-touch with the truth,
One who don't habitually lie,
and one with no intentions of making me cry.
A man who will tell me i'm wrong,
but not maliciously.
He will be strong,
and, hold me when I feel I can't go on.

And, on a personal matter
he keeps his business at home,
just because he is grown..
And, therefor he sees past the physcial beauty,
that the world has shown.

And, then he will fearlessly dive into my wilderness unknown,
and once then he will create and sell into a home,
of absoulte harmony, blissfully, with me.

And, as for me I'm going to love this man so deep,
I'm gone love this man for keeps,
I'm going to love this man, til lemons become sweet.
Im going to love this man untill the earth runs into the sea,
I'm going to love this man, until religious fanatics and scientists agree.

I'm going to love this man, til all atheous bow down to their knee,
and faithfully worship some form of holy, religious deity.
I'mma love him until all black men in prisons are free,
and justice embraces them whole heartedly.

Then finally, just so all ya'll can understand,
I don't need a man, who needs me to make him feel like a man,
I want a man who knows ...He , IS, THE, MAN!!!!
