Hello,
Members of Black Planet. I am a confident secure black woman in
search of something new & different. I have come to a point of
where it's time for me to enjoy life and all that it has in store.
I have come to realize that true happiness comes from within. You
have to make yourself happy don't depend on SOMEONE OR SOMETHING to
do it for you. Take control of your life!! I had to realize that
the more money I made the more I spent. The more I spent the more I
worked. I call it the spending cycle of destruction. (nothing is
never enough never satisfied) I never really had time for SELF. I
was always trying to improve this or that situation. I still do it
but it doesn't control my life.
Anyway, I read this and it kind of sums up what I mean.
Remorse for my losses
Embarrassed by my acomplishments
Stressed when I underachieve
Pointless if I try?
Miserable when I quiet
LIFE-----is this it?
Considered the sacrifices
Embodied by selfishness
Persuaded by rountine
Negate my fortune
Humble by poverty
LOVE----is this it?
Scarred by misunderstanding
Understand what to be grateful for
I war for peace
But before war
Is that peace discomforting?
