A single tear finds its way out the corner of my eye
My face breaks into pieces as I begin to cry
Salty rivers etching canyons down my cheeks
Rolling like ocean waves down the concave corners of my nose
They make their way to my chin
And fall to the pavement
The same pavement that cradled your remains
as the last pint of blood flowed from your veins
it rained that day
rained tears and sorrow
fears of what tomorrow might bring
you left me
