Hello! I am a 6'8" former basketball player and Army Intelligence
Officer. I am white, of Scottish-Irish heritage. I have spent most
of my life around Black folks both professionally and socially. My
former wife is Black and our children are blended and beautiful. I
must admit that I prefer Black women, tall, athletic Black women
ideally. However, I have never turned a woman away if I find them
interesting and intelligent, with a good sense of humor. I learned
long ago that pretty is skin deep, while beauty radiates outward
from deep in the soul. I love jazz and R&B, I play percussion
myself, and once in a while try my hand at singing. I enjoy long
walks in the woods, or along the shore. I hike and fish. I am
learning to appreciate opera, ballet, and art. I could use a good
teacher, or someone with whom to learn about these things. I used
to dance, but I was badly hurt in the Army chasing down some bad
guys and have lost a lot of my ability to use my legs. My lower
back, knees, ankles, and feet are riddled with arthritis and I have
nerve damage as well. I use crutches to get around these days, but
aside from no more running and jumping,etc, I do everything I've
always done. I am a firm believer in monogamy when I'm in a
relationship. I am looking for a long term relationship that might
turn into marriage. Divorce has not turned me off from marriage, my
divorce was amicable and my ex- and I maintain a steady, if not
close friendship, for the kids sake and because neither one of us
can stand going through life being a "hater".
