Even though his city,as well as his home, was ruined by Hurricane Katrina Nicky Mac continues to stay on his grizzy. Born and raised in New Orleans and of Haitian/ Creole descent Niccollo Macchiavelli aka Nicky Mac is no stranger to neither the streets or the rap game. And you ask who is NICKY MAC and why should someone take a fresh look at him?
He's THE MOST ANTICIPATED RAPPER DOWN SOUTH.
This statement has created a buzz both on the streets and in the industry causing people to become skeptical. Yet Nicky has no problem with the title given to him and knows that in order to show that he deserves this title, he must candidly admit and explain it.
When asked how does he feel about what people think about it, he calmly answers saying, " It really doesn't matter cause Ima do what I want regardless, some people look at me as ruthless while others look at me cool and laid back, some look at me as a disgrace others see me as glorious. I can't worry about how people judge me. Do you know I'd crucify myself worrying about the conflicting intensities of who I am and who I should be?
Just listening to him , he comes across as a very brilliant but yet very heavily street orientated scholar who uses his intelligence to survive the viscious cycle we call life. You will definitely here more from this dude in the near future already collaborating with Dawn of Danity Kane thus creating a classic urban hit and recieving distributionin 2007 with iTunes, he is destined to be another big star from a place once called the Big Easy.
Still grinding to gain national exposure, Nicky has traveled and lived in many place from Lousiana, Florida,Georgia, and Houston. While in Florida he landed a spot in the motion picture called " The Drop Off" and also recorded for the soundtrack. Nicky says" It was a blessing man, dude checked me out on myspace, left a message for me to hit him up and bam....I there two days later acting in a movie. "That was a blessing to get a shot at acting with no experience or even having to audition." With acting credits under his belt you can expect to see him again in " The Drop Off 2" ,which will be shot in Atlanta. As of now Nicky continues to stay busy ghost writing for artist, producing,and working on his next projest which is yet to be titled.
