..."Did you really break off the wedding because your man wanted to sit at the sofa and eat his dinner?"

I broke up laughing because she said with a straight face that that was the only problem she had with him.....

She had a long list of things she wanted, and invariably eating at the dinner table was one of them....

How'd you even reach the point of talkin' about a wedding?!

that's crazy...

how old are they and are there children in the house...

if they are young, i have a slight understanding for her...

but if they older folks, and the children are no longer a factor...i don't see the problem...

Exactly. If I ever need advice on getting a divorce he'd be the first negro I would call.

She looked to be in her twenties. Guy wasn't at the show.

No kids were involved, and she said one of the reasons she didn't like his eating at the couch was that he might eat away from the kids.

Harvey asked if she thought she couldn't convince him to eat at the table for that and she answered, "I'm not in the business of convincing anybody."

Chances are that wasn't the reason she called it off. That may have been the justification but not the cause.

Harvey tried to get the real reason. He flat out told her that wasn't the real reason. But she stuck to her guns. *shrug*

It's just they were living together, ENGAGED, and she's sayin' a plate of food and a couch got in the way..... If that's the case, she's single woman incarnate....

Yeah she doesn't want to cop to the real reason. No matter how you slice it, it was a good thing they didn't get married.
