Hi everyone, I am wanting to use relaxer for my hair in order for a hair style. Bald fade is getting boring. I've done a fauxhawk before but in order for it to look better this time I think I should use some relaxer (my hair isn't very curly/wavy but thick).

I am wondering if it's not a good idea since it might cause balding? My hair is usually short anyway so is that even really a big deal? Would it cause patches of bald?
