... as workers in any other trade.

Can you imagine?

This is a statement made as one of the pros for why prostitution should be legalized.

That means a hoh, or should i say professional man or woman should be qualified for health insurance and 401k from their boss?

i am wondering if hugh heff or dennis hof offer benefits.

I KNOW HEFF DID WHEN HE WAS THE HEAD OF PLAY BOY.
WICH WASN'T UNDER THE TITLE PROSTITUTION BUT ALDUT ENTERTAINMENT.
I KNOW THAT MANY OF THE BUSINESSES IN RENO AND VEGAS ALSO OFFER BENNIFITS AND ARE REGULATED BY THE STATE.
WICH ALSO IS ONE OF THIER LARGEST TAX SOURCES FOR THOSE STATES.
SO I WOULD BE FOR REGULATIONS OF THE INDUSTRY.
IF ONLY FOR SAFTY CONCERNS AND THE REVENUE IT GENERATES.

COOL

i mean hugh and dennis arent different from don juan or pimpin ken, except for the fact of color or course, but i dont know if they'd go for that.

i wonder how much effect it would have on half of these clubs and bars' businesses...be it bad or good.

IT WOULD HAVE GREAT EFFECTS IF IT WHERE REGULATED ON A NUMBER OF ISSUES.
SPECIALLY THE EXPLOITATION THAT EXSIST IN THIS INDUSTRY.
WHERE WOMAN ARE USUALY ARE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF ENFFORCMENT THAT EXSIST.
I BELIEVE IT WOULD BENNIFIT ALL CONCERNED IF REGULATED PROPERLY.
THE BUSINESS SIDE AND THE CONSUMMER SIDE.
AS IT HAS BEEN SHOWN TO DO IN VEGAS AND RENO.

COOL

more facts on why it should be legalized:

Whether a person chooses to engage in sexual activity for purposes of recreation, or in exchange for something of value, is a matter of individual choice, not for governmental interference.

Police use of entrapment techniques to enforce laws against this essentially private activity is reprehensible.

If it was legalized in the same way it is in Nevada, then yes, employers sould provide the same employee rights afforded to other industries-but for the average night crawler, not so much!

And the fact that as legitimate businesses they report their income and are taxed accordingly. You think Don Juan and Pimpin Ken pay taxes? Hell no they don't. I had a relative who was a pimp and the nigga didn't even have a social security card. Never had a legitimate job in his entire life. Nothing wrong with pimpin and w horing as long as you do it through legitimate channels. If you choose to ply your trade where it's not legal, you can't cry racism when they bust you.

this is one site i was reading, it has the pros and cons of legalizing it. from my understanding, legalizing would protect those from sexual harrassment; abuse and rape. most are quotes from unions and advocates explaining the no and the yes of it.

it also mentions how legalizing will make more people come out of being afraid if they were raped and harrassed...these laws will protect the worker. when laws now are for protection of the client overall. craziness.

Heff is a PIMP......He gets a pass because he is white.

Legalizing prostitution will help to curb STDs which can be tracked better.

If America had identified Aids victims and quarantined them aggressively the spread of that disease wouldn't be so prevalent today.

well one of the sites is stating that legalizing prostitution will be added downfall to health issues, stds aids and such. so there will always be pros and cons with this issue. some like yourself may think legalizing it will help, while others think stds will run even more rampant.

They would qualify as independent contractors and can purchase their own insurance just like any other consultant

Somebody already beat me to it, but I'm gonna sponge off of this one: they could always put "independent contractor", or "self employed". After all, they get what the customer feels they deserve. The one with the stretch marks and baggy eyes ain't gettin' shiit, but the ones with the silicone titties get all the tips.(and the extra bonuses come when they phuck their clients outside the club).
