A group of close friends went to a party in Summit NJ. A schoolmate & DJ CP Lew were djing the party. Friendships we formed that night between us. The next day we were recording a mix tape at DJ CP Lew's house. Mel-Z BKA G.Q & Ali were so talented on the MIC, Ali introduced Mel- Z to DJ CP Lew & they clicked...this is how "Ace & Deuce" began. Since Mel-Z brought Rah into a studio meeting and we heard Rah's barz & his voice...we knew he was in. At the time my hip hop name was Lord Troo the Darkone! We needed a name for the group and while in the studio we drank a lot of 40-ounce O.E 800 and I also had the name Get loose (Get- Luc), I didn't know what to do with the Get- Loose, so I added the 40/ for the Brew, and 50 would have been for the 50 States that we could link (East & West Coast). This is how 40/50 Get Loose was formed. Now revamped as 40's for the staff & 50 as in million which represents the listeners. The Get Loose got broken into Get Luc & is a movement.... As in the term (Get up & dance)...Thanks to the internet, the finest underground hip hop out of NJ may be released.
