personal message

Hi, thanks for dropping in. My name is Giselle London. I decided to take some space on BlackPlanet.com to interact with other people and get into some groups for conversation. My purpose here is just to mingle online and I am not looking for relationships. I am working towards a degree in Graphics Design and Advertising. My interests and hobbies are eclectic. I love traveling overseas, reading books on a wide variety of subjects especially on holistic health and living. I love movies, especially the old ones and those foreign films with the subtitles! I do not subscribe to any religious preference.I do; however, have values that I uphold because I believe that we should be a good example to others especially young children. I am witty, don't take my self too serious, and love a good laugh with others. I think the most beautiful people are those who are down-to-earth,content,authenti c,comfortable in their skin, grateful for what they have, and never stop asking questions in the search for truth and understanding. Some of the things that drive me is maintaining a passion for our African Culture and never becoming blind to the rhetoric being told to placate us into blind compliance. Often we are swept away with blending into the melting pot. The pot is to meld the flavors but each component should have the essence of its flavor evident. The world should strive for peace and harmony but by no means should we give up our identity as a race. No ethnic group is encouraged to do so and neither should we. I had the time to go Washington and visit all the monuments, see the Capital, visit museums and after four days and miles and miles of walking, The Black experience in the United States of AmeriKKKa is summed up with the Martin Luther King memorial and a few square feet of backroom exhibits of Black slavery in America. The Capital Mall contains the Smithsonian museums, Jefferson Monument, etc. etc. and not one, not one location gives proper homage to Blacks being in America Prior to Christopher Columbus, not one tell of the sacrifices and notable contributions made by Blacks. I spent four hours in the Washington Holocaust museum. Four floors later and tired feet, I left there wondering how America essentially did the same to us yet we are told to shut  up and let the past be the past.

In the Holocost Museum the bulleted items ndicate the sequential subject matter  time line of the rise and fall of the Holocaust. Directly Beneath each bulleted item is a basic notation of  similar circumstances that occured in America. Someone with more time can sit down and find more exact examples to add, but you get the picture.

This shows how We never learn from atrocities. They continue over and over and over again. If you don't think it is currently happening as we speak look at Iran, Palestine, Israel, etc. and AmeriKKKa is in the center of it all.

Just as a side note for those of you who do not know, During the Holocaust, several passenger cargo ships carrying Holocaust survivors  were sent out to find safe havens. When the one vessel arrived at the US Port, The united States Turned the Jews Away and back to Germany to face persecution. Sounds familiar.  Haitians, Mexicans, Haiti, etc, etc.!!!!

This is not hearsay. This is documented on a 20 ft wall in the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC.  Don't hear the US talking about that dirty little secret.

There were no restitutions for Blacks. We are still waiting on the Fourty acres, and a mule and the billions of dollars taken from us through slave labor, illegal seizure of property, and murder of our ancestors.

Martin Luther King Memorial. The honor of designing this memorial should have been bestowed upon a Black man. We were forced to make everything else in America, why not having the honor of making something that could belong to us and get the financial compensations?
