Recently I have noticed a trend in this group in that I get a lot of applications and entries but once I sign them up, they never feature again... I know a lot of us are very busy with other projects but the point of this group is to share a personal insight into the field you are in or are pursuing to connect others in a similar field or for those folks who are thinking of getting into such fields.

By discussing your scientific interests or field, it will give others a better idea of what they could be doing because they are getting the personal perspective on the career. Also, we have some recruiters on here who can post information about jobs or what they are looking for regarding science and engineering. This gives both the employers and job-seekers and also academicians a chance to 'interview' and get to know each other.

This group exists for you and is made up of you so please active contributions are welcome...

The purpose of this group is to discuss mainly scientific issues and fields based ON FACT, much less on opinions.

I have observed some heated discussions where some people were annoyed that their opinions were not agreed with. So far, we have been fortunate that none have resorted to outright name calling. For that I thank the members of the group.

However, please, we are not just here to debate opinions and beliefs but rather to share information on areas of science, engineering and mathematics that will help inspire, enlighten, inform and educate others who may be in need of some direction as to pursuing or furthering their knowledge in a particular field of study.
