Description
How did anyone learn to make a movie? The most likely answer is that they belonged to an amateur film club, a place where amateurs can learn techniques and pass on their own filmmaking skills. This forum will provide a place where members can exchange information and learn from each other. Film clubs give regular demonstrations, and hold discussions, classes and workshops on all various facets of film and video making, from learning skills like writing and editing to discussions of new equipment and how to use it. In addition to learning these important skills, the club offers other motivations to its members in the form of regular contests and projects. It offers amateurs helpful critiques and advice of fellow club members about how their film might be improved. And one of the most important aspects of the club for an amateur is the built-in audience, which can be a lot livelier and interested than family members. Amateur film clubs provide a wealth of skills and information.
