In the year of our Lord and Savior, we have a Black President and still there are cutural issues, differences among the races in the United States and ourselves.
In previous years, the mixing of races were "shoned" or sent "away" to avoid racism altogether. Now, in 2009 we use the term Bi-Racial and Multiracial to describe and educate others who need clarification as to our race. In the real world to adults, that's fine, however, to a child it is a whole different thing. Children are accepting of everyone unless "taught" differently. The goal of this group is to allow children and young adults to express their feelings of their ethnic background and support each other. As of child of a "mulatto" father, I shared and saw the "shame" and "pain" of not accepting his true self. Please be appropriate in all sense of the word and encourage another soul who may not have a shoulder to cry on. God Bless, Be encouraged....Stay strong because we are all children of God.
