CLICK TO EMPOWER CAMPAIGN

⿿Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.⿝ Margaret Mead

This is your opportunity to join in & support Community Organizing efforts right from your desk. "CLICK TO EMPOWER CAMPAIGN" is building it's "LEAGUE of VOTERS" to support online voting campaigns that will help to empower low income entrepreneurs.

Please go to our page "Click to Empower Campaign" on Facebook, become a fan & get involved as needed by voting on projects for funding and other supportive actions that will be posted there. YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO THE PAGE BY CLICKING ON THE LINK or BY PUTTING THE FOLLOWING LINK IN YOUR BROWSER

Our programming will support the disadvantaged entrepreneurs who are still classed out, and pushed further out in the margins by some of the very organizations that are supposedly out there to help them. The disadvantaged entrepreneurs, whose hopes and dreams (of owning their own businesses, being self sufficient, lifting themselves and their families out of poverty), are literally dying. When I take this group of visionaries into consideration, I can plainly see that some of the root causes of their problems have been looked over and ignored. I therefore see an important component missing in some organizational programming and an opportunity to offer that missing component through our programming.

***WE NEED 1000 VOTERS TO VOTE FOR THE NEXT 11 DAYS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!***

I entered our Financial Literacy & Credit/Asset Building project in a contest to hopefully win $10k to launch. I'm sure you are aware that start-up funding for most things new is hard to come by, especially if you don't have an established track record. When it comes to Community Organizing efforts, I'm finding the support is even less attainable, even though it is through those movements that change is brought about in most cases.

We were #1 in the Community category almost from the start until a project that came virtually out of nowhere knocked us to #2. After seeing the (and I MEAN) OVERNIGHT spike in votes, I investigated and found that project had set up at least 100 blank accounts specifically for voting on their project. I documented EVERYTHING (about 460 pieces of evidence) and notified the developers as well as the company.

We were placed back at #1 for a SHORT while and their votes were taken away based on my evidence. BUT I got a call from the developer saying that the project leader was creative with her voting, did nothing wrong, and would be given back her votes once they got the documentation that she had permission to set ALL those accounts up (It looked as though she set up 100 accounts on BEHALF of her family and friends). Needless to say, she supposedly got that info back to them within a couple of hours. ARE THEY SERIOUS??? Had we known we could've set up a multitude of accounts on behalf of people other than ourselves, and that would have been considered "Legit", we would have done the same. I smell something FOUL in the air.

There is definite power in numbers and it would be GREAT to show legitimate support for our efforts by having a league of voters who will be RELENTLESS in voting to make this right. The solidarity would be an AWESOME display when it comes to the voiceless and supporting our own. I can only hope that you will see the value in this request and decide to support our efforts by voting for a good cause. With all the talk about us helping ourselves and not depending on the government, I'm not just talking about it; I'm trying so very hard to be about the change I want to see. I am ONE person, and I cannot accomplish this alone.

Thank you for your support in collectively strengthening our communities. Ms. Lockett
