Fifty years ago, the only way a black person could enter the lobby of a Bank of America branch office is if they had a broom in their hand.
Today Black people have more than 9 billion dollars ($9,000,000,000) on deposit in the Bank of America in Los Angeles alone.
Black banks in the USA have less than a billion dollars in deposits collectively.
Nassardeen lead the drive to change that and other inequities through his annual Chang Banks campaign.
What will you do?
Two of the largest Black Banks in the USA are Broadway Federal Savings and One United Bank.
