In August 2003, the multi-platinum superstar Nelly, alongside Yomi Martin and Ian Kelly, created their unique brand, Apple Bottoms. Nelly describes the intent behind the design by saying, "A woman should not try to fit the clothes; the clothes should fit the woman!"
Since then, Apple Bottoms has matured into an international fashion focused denim brand. AppleBottoms international status has grown rapidly with the labels' induction from the USA into Europe, and recently into South Africa, Dubai and now Australia and New Zealand.
The signature apple pockets, which began as Apple's core, has transcended into a cutting edge collection that extends the boundaries of denim. Keeping true to its innovative design and style the AppleBottoms label is branching out from its denim collection the "Apple Tree" and has grown into: sportswear, intimates, swimsuits, plus sizes, scrubs, sunglasses, optical, jewellery, handbags & accessories, footwear, children?s wear and infants.
