Description

We are the voice of black women around the nation. We are the mothers, the daughters, the wives, and the teachers who believe that our nation is in need of a leader who will restore dignity back to the office of the President of the United States. We believe that without schools that produce productive, educated citizens, our nation will not maintain its leadership position in the world. We believe that it is imperative that we have a healthy nation, one where all of its people can look forward to access to the greatest health care system in the world. And most of all, we believe that this nation is heading in the wrong direction, and that twenty years of Clintons and Bushes is quite enough. We believe in the unique vision that Senator Barack Obama has for this country, and we?re committed to spreading the word and doing all we can to ensure that Senator Barack Obama becomes the next President of the United States of America.

Race, Faith and Delegates

It would be pretty difficult to find a time in recent history that has been more explosive, more controversial, and more important than the last week or so has been when it comes to the subject of race, faith and delegates in this country.

On this week's show, we pull together the week's events - the Rev. Wright controversy, the John McCain gaff, the Michigan and Florida delegate mess, and the historic and powerfully relevant speech on race delivered by Senator Barack Obama. I'll be joined by Erin Kotecki-Vest, who you might remember is the Huffington Post contributor, and writer who penned the amazing letter to Hillary Clinton a few weeks back asking her to step aside for the good of the country. Erin will weigh in on what's gone on this week, and she's guaranteed to have plenty to say.

Also, we'll be joined for the first time by Tammy Barbour, editor of GeorgiaCEO Magazine, and an experienced political analyst who will have a great deal to say about the seating of Florida and Michigan's delegates.

And of course - I'll be there. I have a lot to say about all of it, including, "am I the only one that has figured out that John McCain is in the early stages of Alzheimer's?" Do NOT miss this show - the national conversation continues, tonight at 9pm on a special 90-minute episode of "Talk It Out"!

Listen live tonight at 9pm EST at:

Love,

Your Host - Patricia Wilson-Smith
