Description

I am calling for a worldwide boycott of Christmas. I am asking all black people around the world especially African Americans to boycott Christmas. Let's show the world that we are tired of being treated like third class citizens. We are tired of police brutality, we are tired of unequal education we are tired of being locked up at alarming rates. We can come together and we will. I am not asking for any donations. I am asking that this Christmas we simply keep our money in our pockets and show that we have the power to make a statement. To show ourselves that we can unite and come together. Times have never been this bad for us. Let's tell the world, no more. Boycott This Christmas. If you are not African American we ask that you show your support by boycotting Christmas as well. Please forward to all your friends. For whatever your injustice is Join The Movement.

Earl,

Thank you so much for saying what I was too furious
and disgusted to say. I totally agree with your
suggestion to boycott Christmas-which I to have
encouraged (primarily black) people to do on previous
occasions. Black people in this country (and world)
are not being treated as 3rd class citizens, but
instead as nothing. We are being shown daily through
such events that have been recently published in the
news that our lives have no value in the eyes of those
who are in control. The problem with your suggestion
is that black people overall (not all, but generally
speaking) are too brainwashed and spineless to boycott
Christmas or any other man made holiday. They fear
that if they don't load up the tree with presents
their children won't feel love, or they will feel left
out when they see what their friends have. We need to
begin to act with some intelligence and recognize that
love and appreciation can and should be illustrated
year-round, not just on a designated day. The average
black person I know who celebrates Christmas through
gift-giving struggles to do so. Where is the sense in
breaking the bank to "give your son or daughter a good
Christmas?" I should think they'd respect their
parents more for providing for them year-round and
putting that money that would have been spent on an
XBox (or whatever the big toy is this year) into a
college fund or something else that can help give them
a leg up in society. It's my opinion that not only do
we need to hit the pockets of the big wigs who do not
value our lives or the lives of our children, but we
also need to go a step further by ceasing our
dependency upon them. We need our own schools in
which to educate our children, our own hospitals in
which to treat our sick, our own banks that will take
a chance on lending money to black business, etc. I
am all about racial harmony, but if someone spits in
my face enough, I'm going to stop depending on them to
give a **** about me. These words might sound harsh,
but what is being done to black people is more than
harsh. To those of you who wish to be excluded from
this conversation, feel free to inform me. There will
be no hard feelings. To those of you who honestly
want and expect to see a change, Join The movement and
pass the word. Boycott Christmas!!
