Description

We are a non profit ministry. Our mission is to assist felons, their families and the elderly in areas that they cannot . We want to stop the cycle of re-offending and help them get their lives back so they can care for their families. It's unfortunate that their families have to suffer for mistakes they made, maybe years ago. The elderly are suffering more and more because there are few people to care for them and we want to put an end to that helplessness. Are services will include home and yard care, and transportation for the elderly. Education, transportation, employment training and referrals, childcare and financial assistance and much more for our felons.

Free College Tuition For Low Income Families !! Friday July 25.2008
This small Kentucky College is doing what some of the major colleges should be doing. How else are we gonna keep up with the rest of the world ?
Berea College is distinctive among institutions of higher learning. Founded in 1855 as the first interracial and coeducational college in the South, Berea charges no tuition and admits only academically promising students, primarily from Appalachia, who have limited economic resources. Berea?s cost of educating a student exceeds $23,000 per year.

Berea offers rigorous undergraduate academic programs leading to Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in 28 fields. All students work at least 10 hours per week in campus and service jobs in more than 130 departments.

The College has an inclusive Christian character, expressed in its motto "God has made of one blood all peoples of the Earth." Berea's primary service region is the Southern Appalachian region, but students come from all states in the U.S. and in a typical year, from more than 60 other countries representing a rich diversity of colors, cultures, and faiths. About one in three students represents an ethnic minority.

Berea continues to build upon a distinctive history. They say walk in with what you can carry, and walk out 4 years later with your degree. And be debt free. God is really working here folks !!

Hi Everyone,
I am Lynn Stewart-Calhoun, Co-CEO of MercyAlone Ministries. There hasn't been much activity in our group because we didn't have many members and while there still aren't as many as there will be, there is enough so I have posted a new forum called, "Free On The Inside" Please read it and give us some feedback. Better yet, after you read it and post your comment, YOU post a forum. Your voice, your ideas, and your testimonies are vital to the success of our group and this ministry. Invite your friends. We have been trusted to this mission by God and we are passionate about it. Jesus layed down His life for us in order that we could be free on the inside and we must love, help and bless those who cannot do for themselves and those who are trying to find their way. Jesus said in the book of Matthew 25:34-36,40 "The King will say to those on his right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was a stranger and you invited me into your home, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.........I tell you the truth whaterever you do to and for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you do to and for me." Great things are going to happen as we are obedient to Gods command. Wont you be a part of this wonderful mission and help us bless others as God has and continues to bless us. Thank you for your time and may God open up the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing that is pressed down, shaken together, and running over so much that you wont have room enough to contain it! Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Lynn Stewart-Calhoun
