There are so many professional people in this community and I know that if we put our heads together we can come up with some solutions to help the kids of today become better learners despite the fact that they are at some sort of disadvantage. A child who has been diagnosed with a learning disability should not be thrown to the curb because he or she can not keep up in a ?normal ?classroom setting. But this is what I hear from students time and time again. These students come from various walks of life but have one thing in common They are bright and may even be genius but they do not learn the way teachers want them to learn. What has happened to our system today? I have kids who come to me and say that their teachers don?t take them seriously. They say that their teachers pre-judge them when they have difficulties in class. They tell me that their teachers only cater to those students who get what?s being taught. Their self-esteem is beaten up so they shut down.
