This group is for predominantly African-Americans who suffers from bipolar/manic depression and their friends and family members who supports them in their fight against this often misunderstood and stigmatized disorder. Due to the many misconcpetions of mental health disorders in the black community, this group is open to all, including the ones who wish to remain anonymous for fear of being ostracized. Any discussion can be put on the table as long as its in line with the purpose of this group. Respect for others is required, and any offensive, demeaning, or derogatory language will be immediately deleted as well of its author. Come join us as we support one another in our daily struggles in life as we deal with the reality of being bipolar/manic depressive because in spite of this: WE ARE NORMAL PEOPLE TOO!!!
