What is the meaning of M.G.T. and G.C.C.?

ANS.- Muslim Girls` Training and General Civilization Class. This was the name given to the training of women and girls in North America; how to keep house, how to rear their children, how to take care of their husbands, sew, cook and, in general, how to act at home and abroad. These training units were named by our prophet and leader of Islam, W. D. Fard.

"We are all in the mold of children. And we as MGT, or FOI, should take on the mind of a child, for the scriptures say "Except you become as a little child, you will not enter the kingdom of God." Why is that? You`re grown up in the way of the world, but your`re not grown up in the way of God. You don`t know God`s way. ... So while you are in the process of looking after your... offspring, remember that you are also girls, and you should adopt that attitude with respect to this class and with respect to Almighty God and the Messenger`s suggestions to you as to how you should be. You should not be a rebellious girl."

---- Minister Louis Farrakhan, speaking to the MGT-GCC Class, Chicago, IL, November 1991

"In this class you will be trained to face and fulfill your obligations as a sister and help to shoulder the responsibilities by reproducing the good which the religion can produce in you."

--- taken from the "Introduction to the M.G.T. & G.C.C Definition and Goals", Orientation Brochure

"Contrary to popular belief, one of the men who demonstrated the greatest devotion to the elevation of women - through making sure our women have complete knowledge - is the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. ... He wanted to see women in every field of endeavor, except fields that degrade them. In fact, the avenue to building respect between the sexes is that men be made to respect women for their brains instead of seeing them only as objects for sexual gratification."

--- Minister Louis Farrakhan, excerpted from his book A Torchlight For America, 1993

"O Prophet, when believing women come to thee giving thee a pledge that they will not associate aught with Allah, and will not steal, nor commit adultery; nor kill their children, nor bring a calumny which they have forged of themselves, nor disobey thee in what is good, accept their pledge, and ask forgiveness for them from Allah.
Surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
(The Holy Qu`ran, Chapter 60,
Al-Mumtahanah, "THE WOMAN WHO IS EXAMINED", verse 12)

"They say behind every great man there`s a woman. That`s a lie. BESIDE every great man, andsometimes IN FRONT of every great man there`s a woman."
---- Minister Louis Farrakhan, taken from his historic Women-Only lecture given on June 15, 1994, in Atlanta, GA

"Our women have been and are still being used by the devil white race, ever since we were first brought here to these States as slaves."

"Nothing but Islam will make you a respectable people. We Muslims are your example, living here in your midst."
--- The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, from his book Message to the Black Man

"I don't see nothing out of your house that you should go after. If you have a Black woman there, you have the best."
--- The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, taken from "Theology of Time", September 24,1972

"The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has stated that three-fourths of his work is with the woman, so with the return of the Mothers of Civilization to their rightful places and roles in society as the First Teacher to our children, to our families and to our Nation, we will regain paradise lost. As the Beloved Prophet Muhammad stated, `Heaven lies at the feet of women`. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has similarly stated, `A Nation Can Rise No Higher Than its Woman`."

----Mother Tynnetta Muhammad, National Instructress to the MGT-GCC, excerpted from herbookMy Life`s Journey Traveling with the Wise Man

"I believe the role of the Muslim woman in this time period is to be what she is by nature, a teacher. Further, she must be an example of obedience to Allah (God). Such obedience can only occur through compliance with the instructions of Minister Louis Farrakhan. We must listen to him alone, and refuse to accept any other as our leader and even terminate association with any man or woman who will not strive mightily to obey him. ... If the women of the Nation of Islam fail in our duty, the human family will lose its salvation. A nation can rise no higher than its woman."

--- Sister Minister Ava Muhammad, National Spokesperson for the Honorable Louis Farrakhan and The Nation of Islam, excerpted from her book A New Unit of Measurement: The Ministry of Farrakhan Muhammad and the Freedom of the Woman in the 21st Century

Words From the Page Owner...

All Praises are Due to Allah for this Class, as the Black woman is presently in a condition that is so opposite of our true nature as UPRIGHT WOMEN of God. Inshallah, this page will help to inspire someone to come back to SELF.

"The Muslim woman goes natural. When you see her, you are looking at a natural beauty."
--- The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad

"In fact, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that there is no such thing as a no-good woman: Every no-good woman that you see was made no-good by a no-good man."
---- Minister Louis Farrakhan, from the lecture "The Grace of God", November 25, 1990
