Hey all. I'm Shonell Bacon - author, editor, educator, everywoman.

My debut solo novel, Death at the Double Inkwell, is LIVE and IN LIVING COLOR. Check out the cover below! At my official website [link], you can hear podcasts about the journey to publication and excerpts. There are also commentaries that feature the DDIW characters and info on promo activities!

I'm also the co-author of LuvAlwayz: The Opposite Sex & Relationships and Draw Me with Your Love. My short story, "1-800-Hot-Talk" was published in the hot anthology, Chocolate Flava. I have also published several e-stories through Lady Leo Publishing [link].

Born and raised in B'more, I spent the first decade of the 21st century in Louisiana where I pursued and obtained my MFA/MA degrees in creative writing (fiction) and English, respectively. While there, I was an English Specialist and a mass communication adjunct, teaching freshman composition, developmental writing, Writing for Radio/TV, Media Writing, and Introduction to Mass Communication.

I moved to Lubbock, TX, in August '09 to pursue my Ph.D. in technical communication and rhetoric at Texas Tech University.

In addition to writing and teaching and schooling, I also help writers in their craft through my company, CLG Entertainment; you can learn more about my editorial services by heading to this [link].

I have a popular blog, ChickLitGurrl :: HIGH on Lattes & Writing, where I interview women writers, and I have another blog, All the Blog's a Page, where writers tie various topics to writing.

Deadly Intentions. Double Jeopardy. The Sinister Chronicles. Murder on Hilltop Lane. Knocking on Deathrsquo;s Door.It was only a matter of time that writing novels about death and suspense would cause Jovan to conjure up her own violent tendencies; it just took a bastard of a husband to bring it out of her.
