Just as a tree bears fruit by means of God's silent work behind the scenes, we produce this fruit of the Spirit by means of God's power alone. Our part is to surrender our lives to Him. When the Holy Spirit begins to bear this fruit in our lives, sin loses its power. With joy and peace we overcome the pain of our broken past. With love, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness we restore our relationships and make restitution. With patience we persevere through the difficult times. STRENGTH We get impatient with our own life, trying to master a habit or control a sin...and in our frustration begin to wonder where the power of God is. Be patient. God is using today's difficulties to strengthen us for tomorrow. He is equipping us. The God who makes things grow will help us bear fruit. God did not leave us as an orphan.
