i'm salathia. i live in texas, but i'm oklahoma born & bred (love it!).

i love people, but then again, people can drive me crazy. for instance ... i don't understand why ignorance is smiled upon. i don't understand why people brag about buying $125 t-shirts (if you like the shirt, then go ahead, babe ... but if it's just for the LABEL? if that's the only reason you bought the shirt -or other single item of clothing for that amount or more, then you got ripped off ... and you're excited about it. i don't get it.)

continuing ... i don't understand why people don't want to LEARN ... or TEACH, for that matter. if you have something to offer, share it. that would be the amazing thing to do ;)

not looking for a date, people (why can't we say hi without trying to "holla"?) ... but i do love to meet new people who have something to offer intellectually.

further ... i LOVE poetry. reading it is stimulating, and writing it is therapy. if you're a poet, PLEASE feel free to share! (www.afrochique.net > afroPoet)

little brother, a tribe called quest, jill scott, raheem devaughn, maze ft. frankie beverly, ledisi, musiq, les nubians, kindred, raphael saadiq, stevie nicks, john coltrane, nicolay, 9th wonder, janis joplin, grace slick, miles davis, ab science, nu shooz, heart ... ok, i won't even continue - but i think you get the point. i love music ... a lot.
what i can't stand is this stuff that's being labeled music ... can we get some control over this mess? (don't call me a music snob ... i just like GOOD music ...)
