I SHE GOD
BY
BLACKPOETS

When I glance at my reflection, Oh, what a heavenly creature, a Godly Sister with original features staring back at me, I she God, I see God. I am as old as Eve, the first wind blowing on the tree of knowledge, first raindrops soaking the earth brightest star in the sky. I delivered the first birth, witness the first sunshine, who am I, mother of evolution original black (wo)man, I she God, I see God.
God is black, a king in the image grows inside me flowing rivers of beautiful black babies, I she God, you are God, we see God.
African drums drumming the word of God, speaking to the chosen people; our spirituality carry the light of God throughout the kingdom, we are the oldest book of wisdom, the omega in revelation, we are the original sun people living in the new and old testaments, reach out to God come closer to me, I she God, you are God, we praise God.
They see God in me hair of wool, they see God in you eyes of fire, I she God, you are God, WE BE GOD'S.

"Letter From God To Women"

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being.
When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils.
But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate.

I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lugs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone, I shaped you . I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life.

The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are my perfect angel ..You are my beautiful little girl.

You will or have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart. Your eyes .. don't change them. Your lips-how lovely when they part in prayer, Your nose, so perfect in form. Your hands so gentle to touch. I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep. I've held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are most like me.

Adam walked with me in the cool of the day, yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you; my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support. You are special because you are an extension of me. Man represents my image, woman my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.

Live simply
Love seriously
Care deeply
Speak Kindly
Leave the rest to GOD

"Christians"

A woman"s heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek God first to find her.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but,
God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches,
so I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I am not holier than thou,
I am just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

"A Woman's Worth"

You could buy me diamonds...
You could buy me pearls...
Take me on a cruise around the world...
Baby, you know I'm worth it.

Dinner lit by candles... Run my bubble bath...
Make love tenderly to last, and last....
Baby, you know I'm worth it.

Wanna' please; wanna' keep; wanna' treat your woman right?
Not just told, but to show, that she knows, she's worth your time..
You wil lose, if you choose, to refuse put her first...
She will and she can find a man who knows her worth!

'Cause a real man knows a real woman when he sees her...
And a real woman knows a real man Ain't 'fraid to please her...
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first...
And a real man just can't deny A woman's worth...If you treat me fairly I'll give you all my goods... Treat you like a real woman should...
Baby, I know you're worth it.

If you never play me, Promise not to bluff...
I'll hold you down when things gets rough...
'Cause baby, I know you're worth it...
She rolls the mile; makes you smile, all the while being true..
Don't take for granted the passions that she has for you....
You will lose, if you, choose, to refuse to put her first.

She will and she can find a man who knows her worth!
No need to read in between the lines....
Spell it out for you Just hear this song...
'Cause you can't go wrong when you value A woman's,
woman's, woman's, woman's Worth!

Alicia Keys

To be a poor man is hard, but to be a poor race in a land of dollars is the very bottom of hardships. W. E. B. Du Bois

"We declare our right on this earth...to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary. Malcolm X

If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values - that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control. Martin Luther King

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

The Poetics of Desire

Throw away your papers tonight, put aside your pen let your fingers write on my body an empty page, a word, a sentence write a poem

proofread the madness you have created... erase with your lips any mistakes your fingers make

read to me what you have written...see the pages of my life come alive in your fingers tonight.

The Black Women's Creed

Bright eye's filled with the shadows of time. If you look hard enough, you will see her-history's past and future's hope. I am here to hold the world, to nurture the children and to heal the land.

If you look hard enough you will see the strength needed and the courage required. I have fought the fights others would not. I've allowed my spirit to travel to places that were not my home.

If you look hard enough you will hear the echoes of my pain and the silence of my laughter; for I am destiny. With each struggle for freedom, every rainbow, and soft, summer breeze I can be felt. If you look hard enough you will find my name. Each generation has heard my name but only those who really know me can whisper we are the same.

I am a warrior, a healer, Queen Mother (Nana), Sis, Auntie and Friend. My heart song has filled this planet with a message that is oh so strong. You cannot defeat me. You cannot stop me. Because I've stood strong and tall.

If you look hard enough you will finally see my image within each child's smile. For I am hope, joy and peace, but most of all I am Love.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

With profound gratitude and great humility, I accept your nomination for presidency of the United States. Let me express my thanks to the historic slate of candidates who accompanied me on this journey, and especially the one who traveled the farthest a champion for working Americans and an inspiration to my daughters and yours Hillary Rodham Clinton. Black Woman Cake...written by a Black Man

THERE WERE SPECIAL INGREDIENTS GOD USED IN MAKING A GOOD WOMAN.
I'm making a black woman cake cause I'm hungry as hell. And the sweet tooth I have only a sista can break the spell. Let me reach into my spice rack to see what I can get. To make a mix that will stick to my stomach you can bet.

A few cups of culture, so she's down for her race (You see I won't bite into anything that's not conscious of its own, that's why I stick to chocolate and leave angel food alone).

I Am Worth A Lot

In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question "What kind of man are you looking for?" She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye and asking, "Do you really want to know?" Reluctantly, he said, "Yes."

She began to expound... "As a woman in this day and age, I am in a position to ask a man what he can do for me that I can't do for myself. I pay my own bills. I take care of my household without the help of any... (continue reading)

The Watchman At The Gate

Posted

"I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet." --Jeremiah 6:17
We must all have a watchman at the gate of our thoughts. The Watchman at the Gate is the superconscious mind. We have the power to choose our thoughts. Since we have lived in the race thought for thousands of years, it seems almost impossible to control them. They rush through our minds like stampeding cattle or sheep. But a single sheep-dog can control the frightened sheep and guide... (continue reading)

Three Departments Of The Mind

Posted

There are three departments of the mind, the subconscious, conscious and superconscious.

The subconscious, is simply power, without direction. It is like steam or electricity, and it does what it is directed to do; it has no power of induction. Whatever man feels deeply or images clearly, is impressed upon the subconscious mind, and carried out in minutest detail.

The conscious mind has been called mortal or carnal mind. It is... (continue reading)

It's A Matter Of Perspective

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me... (continue reading)
