Field Technician Job Description EIS uses state-of-the art digital imaging by leveraging Kodak s exclusive technology to create customized souvenir products to treasure and share. POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Technician is primarily responsible for providing technical support for all customer site operations. He/she is responsible for the installation and upgrading of all systems, will train on how to maintain the imaging systems, and will perform periodic preventative maintenance.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and/or repair computers, computer-based electronic equipment and photography equipment. Respond to customer calls that are escalated from the Call Center. Close out problem calls and report time spent and parts usage via the SCAN Plus software system. Provide system installs and upgrades as directed by management. Perform final systems checks after installation prior to handing over system to Retail Ops. Provides phone, remote and on-site system support. Perform preventative maintenance in accordance to the maintenance schedule. Identify problems that require corrective action and escalate to Corrective Action Team. Return defective parts to the Parts Services department in a timely manner. Identify and report site operations issues to Service Manager. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Work both independently and cooperatively. Follow through on multiple tasks while occasionally working under tight deadlines. Communicate with others in both written and verbal form, including the clear and logical expression of ideas.
