Summary:The Educational and Behavioral Consultant will provide educational and behavioral consultation to families, schools, and other service agencies regarding the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Pervasive Developmental Disorders and other neurological disorders. Responsibilities will include assessing students, developing curriculum, developing behavior support plans, developing data collection systems, and training and supervising direct teaching staff.Qualifications: Education/Training: Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, Special Education or related field required.
Certifications/Licensure: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred. Skill(s): Strong background in education, with emphasis on special education and the special needs and requirements of individuals with acquired brain injury, neurological disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in a special education setting.
Interrelationships: Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (education personnel, families and funding agencies).
