Recommend this profile to your Facebook friends. personal messageUsing music and sound as a healing tool, I found myself making changes in my community by being an instrument of peace. My work focuses on the underserved in our communities. Such as senior citizens, homeless individuals and families, recovering alcoholics and addicts, ESL and head start students. Our programs offer dignity and self esteem. I positively love what I do. Somebody's gotta do it, may as well be me! If I'm not part of the solution, I'm part of the problem. This photograph, taken by Michael Tercha, is part of a Chicago Tribune article printed April 3, 2010 on Harmony, Hope, and Healing with whom I work as an intern. Here I'm featured singing with the residents at one of the homeless shelters our organization serves.
This photo was taken before a performance at Holy Family Church in Inverness, IL. Based on my love of history, I'm writing a novel set in the not so distant past and it is my second passion.
I've included art from a few of my favorite artists. I gravitate toward fantasy and African-American historical pieces. Some are on display in my home while others are on my wish list.
I am a mom of two beautiful and intelligent boys who inspire me to do all that I do.
