Hey, what's poppin' people, it's ya man, Jones. Here's a lil bit 'bout me. I was born in The Bronx and raised in New Rochelle, NY (Few minutes past NYC). I grew up on the brink of Hip Hop. My father was a music producer and as a kid i was always in recording studios. I started experimenting with music production at the age of 9 when i got my casio keyboard with a sampler (as seen in Hustle & Flow). By the time i got to high school i was DJ'ing outrageous house parties, teen clubs, high school events and mixtapes. It was crazy back then. I came Nashville, TN in 1998 to attend Fisk University where i began college radio with WFSK. Around that time i became familiar with Cashville's prominent local artist as they would often make appearances on the Optimo Show. In the fall of 2001, WUBT came to Nashville. I was anxious to get on commercial radio and by the spring i was working with the BEAT. As an intern, i was eager to pay dues. With no vehicle, i was walking from school to the radio station Mondays and Wednesdays to learn whatever i could. By May 2002 i was hired. I love being out in the streets promoting the station and interacting with listeners. For years i may have been in the background soaking up the game and making a name for myself. You can find me at many BEAT events playing trivial games, passing out prizes, and clowning with people. I play to too much. Yeah i know. Summer 07, I made my On Air debut producing the "Steve Harvey Morning Show". You can catch me every weekday morning with the news, weather, and traffic you can depend on. I can also be heard Sundays from 2pm to 5pm with the All About Jones Show. The best part of my job is being myself. I am comfortable in my own skin and when I'm on the mic I love being able to relate with listeners. Thanks for reading about ya homie. Check back often and i will keep my page fresh with content.
