Now Is The Time...Choose Today!
There is no time like the present to make a decision to change the very course of your life!
Was your 2008 all you hoped it would be? Every thing you wanted and more? What gains were made? What goals were achieved? What decisions or choices did you make that improved your finances, your family, your health, your walk with God?
Now Is The Time...Choose Today!
Take an honest evaluation of yourself and where you are. Are you where you want to be?
I am not talking about a New Year's resolution which typically is treated like a new item that you were once excited about but soon lost its luster and appeal, finding its way to the back of your closet, cabinet or tool drawer. I am talking about a real and personal dedication and investment in YOU!
Take the time to access your life...spiritually, your health, family, finances, education, etc. Don't be discouraged if you seem too far away from where you want or need to be. Remember, there is always room for improvement and growth and with God's help, nothing is impossible!
Now Is The Time...Choose Today!
Dust off your dreams, brush the cobwebs off your goals, light a fire under your feet AND DO IT NOW!
What goals have you set that you have let lay dormant? What things have gone undone? What things do you need to focus on, achieve or activate today to improve your tomorrow? Perhaps it is simply a phone call, perhaps it's a degree, perhaps it is praying more. Whatever it is, NOW IS THE TIME.
Choose Today...And Choose Wisely!! Your Choices Today Will Shape Your Tomorrow!!

Just before dawn, I woke and realized you weren't here.I searched, I looked, I panicked Thinking maybe you were goneMaybe you slipped away Into the distant midnight air.Closing my eyes, Standing still, Holding a breath,In the corner of my mind, I could still taste your lips,I could still feel your finger tips, I could still sense your presence,Your essence, You.
Just before dawn, I woke and realized you weren't here. I searched, I looked, I panickedThinking maybe you were gone Maybe you would never return to meMaybe the love, the light, The laughter we sharedWas nothing more than a vapor Maybe your sweet nectarWould be tasted no more Maybe you were my dream.
Just before dawn, I woke and realized you weren't here. I searched, I looked, I panickedThinking maybe you were gone Maybe, just maybeAnd then, You called my name "Awake my darling, it's almost morning "
Just before dawn, I woke and realized, I rose and realized,I lifted my eyes and realized Mmmmm,My darling is here My elixir, my love, My dream come true
Just Before Dawn.

Supervising An Employee Who Applied For Your Current Position By Kenneth McGhee A limited number of supervisory positions are available in most organizations. Employees may informally prepare themselves to become a supervisor. The position they have been preparing for might be revamped and the requirements could change. These types of decisions are normally shared with members of the management team. Because a job candidate is not always aware of management decisions, they can be utilizing a large number of assumptions to assist them prepare for a higher paying job. These factors can add to the feelings of disappoint, if a long time employee does not receive a promotion. Upper management may see the pending retirement of a current supervisor as a chance to make major changes. An outside job candidate may be considered, who might bring new ideas to the organization. In many situations, interview committees are considering the below question: Do we select a job candidate with many years of experience in our company or do we consider an outside candidate, with the skill set needed to move us to the next level? Depending on the industry you work in, other companies who hire people with your educational and work background may be in another state. Relocation may or may not be something you can or even what to consider. This and numerous other factors can make the dynamics involved in starting a new supervisory position very interesting. How do you supervise an employee who applied for your position? In my handbook, Eleven Leadership Tips For Supervisors, I deal with this type of situation in Section Five. If you are supervising a person who applied for your position, I offer the below list of recommendations:
With a positive attitude and good resources, you can be successful. Kenneth McGhee is the author of Teamwork-Moving Beyond Teambuilding Exercises. Available Now at www.amazon.com and www.target.com.
