personal message

I love my pets, my friends, and family. I am spiritual, have great compassion for people and what they been through in their life. I love a lot of things but a few are; practical jokes, dancing, & music, I'm also a huge sports lover. Football, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. I love to play sports as well. In school I played soccer, basketball softball, track, and was on dance team.

A huge part of my life is dog rescue and my main focus is Pit Bulls. They are truly a very misunderstood breed. I am also am part of an online rescue community, volunteer for a local Pit Bull rescue, and I volunteer for E.A.R.S. (Emergency Animal Rescue Services. This is a national volunteer program that essentially sets up animal shelters in disaster zones, and during huge seizure cases such as puppy mills or dog fighting. I currently have 3 Dogs. Emma a Boxer-Kelpie Mix, Sam a Pit Bull and Max a Boxer-Pit Bull mix. The boys are both rescues.

RIP Mike, It's Been 25 Years This Week and I Still Miss You Every Day!

I learned this lesson, the hard way, at the age of 12, when my step-dad Mike died in a horrible accident.  Mike came into my life when I was 10.  My mom had just gotten her second divorce in which I was forced to move to a new city, leaving my friends, my little brother, my most trusted companion my dog Mitzi, and the comfort of the only family life I'd known, however flawed it was.  My real father was living in another state and had been since I was 2, and really I... My fiends Toni wrote this. It's beautifully written and I completely agree with her...

Good Black Men are indeed all around us. We pass them on the streets, in the malls and the halls at work. Most we can't see because we don't know what a good man really looks like. He usually isn't flashy enough or rich enough to turn our heads. He might not wear a suit or push a Lexus. He might not have a body like Tyson with a Denzel face. But, as you mature; you realize it's... (continue reading)

Things to think about

Posted

1. At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

4. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

5. You mean the world to someone.

6. If not for you, someone may not be living.

7. You are special and unique.

8. When you think you have no chance of getting... (continue reading)

5 Lessons on how to treat people

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady. During my second month of college, our professor Gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student And had breezed through the questions until I read The last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the Cleaning woman several times. She was tall, Dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question... (continue reading)
