I'm a pretty relaxed person. I work, come home, and spend time with my kids. I have the best job in the world. I teach Literature and Composition at a university. My students keep me young and I love interacting with them.

I teach at a majority school, so I try to connect with my black students as much as possible. They, like my own children, give me much joy. I'm very active on the campus. I'm faculty advisor for a spoken word group, a minority male group, and a minority female group. I'm also the chair of a minority retention committee. I'm extremely busy!

I've been married for ten years and I love my husband as much as I did when I first met him, except for those moments when he gets on my nerves :-)! For the most part, we are a perfect match. I'm originally from the projects of Virginia, so the life that I live right now is like a dream come true. I love interacting with people and I try my best to inspire others to be the best that they can be. I'm interested in networking with other Black educators in my area. That's me in a nutshell!
