A Few Things to Know About Me
I'm 100% Heterosexual!
NEW YORKER! (Born & Raised).
I'm a very determined young lady that stays focused on my career in hopes to have a future with less struggle and ensure that when I have children, they have the things that I didn't always have growing up. I love working with youth in the innercity since that is where I was born and raised. I know first hand how it is to be a kid in the streets with dreams. I use to walk around in my hood with tears in my eyes and pain in my heart as I witnessed the destruction of our people unfold in front of me. I was smart and I knew that if I kept good grades in school, practiced abstinance and went to college, my dreams wouldn't be so far fetched. When I would do my homework at the library I would daydream about making it out alive (you hear too many stories about unfortunate accidents of a young girl falling victim to a crime where she's in the wrong place at the wrong time) being financially stable as well as making a difference in the community rather than a menece to society. Please don't make the youth who are indeed our future feel like they have to be stuck in the streets with no dreams or thinking that whatever dreams they have won't come true. Don't tell them that they will never be anything. That's a lie! And the only way that it will be true is if you allow it to be. I knowthat they will be someone. Someone positive. Someone that will have a story to tell that will hopefully change another young persons life. They are not going to be like their dead brother or sister or cousin or uncle or father. They are going to be overcomers and the one to make the CHANGE and break the vicious cycle. It's a great thing to be street smart and know how to hustle. There is nothing wrong with that. You need to know how to hustle to gain power in certain situations however don't let your good hustles be evil spoken of. Meaning, don't take a good thing and be dirty with it or intentionally hurt people or even yourself. Legal hustles are out there waiting to be got! You have to work hard to get and keep it. No one is going to give it to you and if it is given to you, how much do you appreciate the gift? The question is, how bad do you want it? We have to at least give our youth a reason to want to go after that. Give them the tools they need to Be hungry for success. I made it out with respect, dignity and integrity. My mission now is to help make a difference in some sort of way. OUR KIDS OWN THE FUTURE AND THEY NEED US! There is an IMMEDIATE need in the community for people that care and have compassion for the youth. Make yourself accessible to them or don't complain when you see them fail and fall victim to incarceration or death at young and tender ages. Spend more time being caught up in your children rather than your jobs and relationships. Not to say that your job and relationships aren't important but lets not allow your GIFTS FROM GOD to suffer because you're so consumed with other things. We have to teach the young females about how to not have a nasty foul mouth, teen pregnancy and safe sex. Our teenage girls are dying of AIDS and what's worse, the babies they are carrying have it also! We have to teach the young men about being responsible leaders, how to show and give respect to a woman and also the safe sex matter. Our young men also are dying of Aids. It's terrible and scary. We as adults are not doing our jobs. Please, lets not solidify their circumstances by turning our backs on them. Let them stand tall on our backs and be proud successful young adults who will feel confident in having a voice that speaks of knowledge, chance and change. I want to see them alive and not belly up! Let me know your thoughts.

2 truths and a lieTwo of these are true about me. No joke. Which one's the lie? Take a guess...
meet me in 3pollrecent blog postsDon't Be Intimidated!!!!Posted
You never have to be intimidated by someone else's gifts or opportunities. No matter what you see, God's plans for you remain and have NOT changed. His thoughts towards you are just as great as the plans that He has for you. He has EVERY intention of bringing those plans to fruition. So spend your time celebrating others genuinely. Don't waste your time being jealous of others accomplishments or feel intimidated by them. Your opportunities are coming & no one else can stop them. The bible... Procrastination always keeps you behind the eightball. But our real challenge is to remain consistent in an inconsistent world. While the world vascillates on positions and standards, choose to remain consistent with an accurate depiction of Christ and His love. His love and character remain the same in the face of human variables. The bible says that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more! Let's live a life marked by a consistent, accessible, and tangible character and filled... (continue reading) Be FreePosted Don't allow your insecurities to overshadow your gift. Your gifts are designed to empower and enrich the lives of others but can be clouded by your personal insecurities, if you allow that. Nothing takes the place of inner healing. Take the time to confront the void in your life and look to Christ to address every vacancy and erase your insecurities. It's time to live TOTALLY free. But you can't be totally free if you keep hanging on to the very thing that God is telling you to let go of. I... (continue reading) |
