What's up? First things first - My name is Larry, I live in Des Moines, Iowa in my own comfortable, cozy apartment, and I am 26 years old. I attend Kaplan University and study business and IT (information technologies). I grew up in Des Moines and North Minneapolis. Unfortunately, I spent most of my childhood (4 yrs. old - 18 yrs. old) in foster care, but I have come to terms with all that. Actually, I feel I got the best of both worlds....the hood and the rich neighborhoods! LOL!! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!! Got married right after high school to my middle school sweetheart and in our second year of marriage we had a lovely daughter. I have a great relationship with her and see her as much as I can. Everyone says she looks just like her Papa. Got married a second time as I thought I had found "THE ONE", even though people who knew me suggested that I "enjoy my youth" LOL!! And go clubbing like the rest of the young guys. I felt I should do what was in my heart at the time. I guess I should have listened to the voice of experience, as sadly, this marriage did not work out, as there were too many differences of opinion on everything!! I feel I have learned and matured from both of these experiences and wish both of these ladies the best in their lives. I realize now that "true love" takes time to develop and needs to be nurtured to last. Good relationships require HONESTY, LOYALTY, COMMUNICATION, and COMMITMENT from both parties to work and that is what I am searching for. I love watching movies (especially horror), listening to ALL types of music, and I guess I would call myself a homebody. I only go out clubbing once a month or so, as I prefer to live within my means (as a student) and save money for more important life matters. I used to be a PT DJ in North Minneapolis and it was my passion!! I loved to set the mood in the club, play people's requests, and watch them have a good time enjoying my show. It's not work when you love what you're doing!! LOL!! I created "Black Planet" to find new friends, companionship and possibly a good lady to share my life with.
