SHOUT OUT TO TONI, FROM THE BAD STORM!

SITE CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

PLEASE BE PATIENT!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE, AS YOU CAN SEE I`M ADDING ON TO THE PAGE AS OFTEN AS I CAN. WITH FINISHING UP AT SCHOOL IT`S BEEN HECTIC.

To those of you that visit my page and leave a little bit of you behind in my G-Book,I am eternally grateful and will answer all. That`s a promise.

For those of you that see your name in my friends list or have sent some love via my G-book Thank you and as soon as school is over I`ll take a week off to send out a little love to each of you in return.

Much love to all!

Peace to all my BP brothers and sisters!

One of the main reasons that I came to BP in the first place was the fact that I love to see positive things on my people`s behalf. Too many times do we see our people in chains or cages, past and present, and the world that has no contact with us believes what they see or hear.

When I started school in `99, some of my classmates and I formed an entertainment company - Paradigm Entertainment Group - and we have put together everything from company sponsored picnics, gospel concerts, and cabarets to designing web pages for our class, moving and hauling, home repair, and little other odd jobs. All this to support us as we continued our education.

What motivated us to get together was the fact that we were six positively motivated black men on a positive mission towards our collective futures.

In my tour of this site I have found that there is truth in the thought that we are the most expressive, talented, sensuous people on this planet. Or any other for that matter.

The ladies that I have run across in my tour through the Planet, have inspired me with their beauty, insight, and creativity.

I am honored to be in your presence!

*"If" for Daughters

Writings of Emily Matthews

If you can value truth

above approval,

and friendship over beauty,

wealth, or fame,

If you can share your gifts

and talents wisely,

leaving someone better off

than when you came...

If you find happiness

in simple pleasures

and see the rainbow, not the falling rain,

If you have faith to keep right on believing

in miracles that no one can explain,

If you look until you see the good in others

and keep your spirit honest, true, and free,

Then you`ll be, not just happy and successful,

but the WOMAN only you

were meant to be.

America without the Black

A very humorous and revealing story is told about

a group of white people

who were fed up with African Americans, so they

joined together and wished

us away.

They passed through a deep dark tunnel and emerged

in sort of a twilight

zone where there is an America without black

people. At first, these

white people breathed a sigh of relief. At last,

they say, no more crime,

drugs, violence and welfare. (Stereotypically

speaking of course) All of

the blacks have gone!

Then suddenly, reality sets in. The "NEW AMERICA"

is not America at all

--- only a barren land.

1. There are very few crops that have flourished

because the nation was

built on a slave-supported system.

2. There are no cities with tall skyscrapers

because Alexander Mils, a

black man, invented the elevator, and without it

one finds great

difficulty reaching high floors.

3. There are few if any cars because Richard

Spikes, a black man,

invented the automatic gear shift; Joseph Gammell,

also black, invented

the Super Charge System for Internal Combustion

Engines; and Garrett A.

Morgan invented the traffic signals.

4. Furthermore, one could not use the rapid

transit system because its

precursor was the electric trolley, which was

invented by another black

man, Elbert R. Robinson.

5. Even if there were streets on which cars and a

rapid transit system

could operate, they were cluttered with paper

because an African American,

Charles Brooks, invented the street sweeper.

6. There were few if any newspapers, magazines and

books because John

Love invented the pencil sharpener; William Purvis

invented the fountain

pen; Lee Burridge invented the Type Writing

Machine and W.A. Lovette

invented the Advanced Printing Press. They were

all black.

7. Even if Americans could write their letters,

articles and books,

they would not have been transported by mail

because William Barry

invented the Postmarking and Canceling Machine,

William Purvis invented

the Hand Stamp and Phillip Downing invented the

Letter Drop.

8. The lawns were brown and wilted because Joseph

Smith invented the

Lawn Sprinkler and John Burr the Lawn Mower.

9. When they entered their homes, they found them

to be poorly

ventilated and heated. You see, Frederick Jones

invented the Air

Conditioner and

Alice Parker the Heating Furnace. Their homes were

also dim. But of

course, Lewis Latimer invented the Electric Lamp,

Michael Harvey invented

the Lantern and Granville T. Woods invented the

Automatic Cut off Switch.

Their homes were also filthy because Thomas W.

Steward invented the Mop

and Lloyd P. Ray, the Dust Pan.

10. Their children met them at the

door-barefooted, shabby, motley and

unkempt. But what could one expect. Jan E.

Matzelinger invented the Shoe

Lasting Machine, Walter Sammons invented the Comb,

Sarah Boone invented

the Ironing Board and George T. Samon invented the

Clothes Dryer.

11. Finally, they were resigned to at least have

dinner amid all of this

turmoil. But here again, the food had spoiled

because another black man,

John Standard invented the refrigerator.

What would this world be like without us?

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!
