personal message

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. I am the eldest girl of seven. I have two beautiful kids ages 16 and 14 that are a true blessing to me. I moved to Illinois on faith and let my God direct my steps. I am an author, mentor, prevention educator and motivational speaker to youth, especially girls becoming young ladies, single women, abused women, and whomever needs words of encouragement.

My first memoir "Shh..Dont Tell," speaks about the abuse I experienced and how my family knew but ridiculed me and saying it was my fault. My book can be purchased at any online distributor or go to www.michellemoorer.com for more information.

The men in Michelle's life were supposed to love, guide and protect her. Instead, her father, Jacob, a heroin user and alcoholic, begins molesting her when she is just a small child.
