A Little About Me

First off, let me say that I am a Good, God Fearing Man. Without my Heavenly Father keeping me shielded from all seen and unseen dangers, I would have been cut off a long time ago!!! So let me take this time to say "Thank you Jesus for being who you are in my life-- my everything!"

I guess what makes me who I am is my confidence...Don`t mix it with conceit, `cause it isn't like that...I just love my life. I'm very observant and a pretty good judge of character.

I`m laid back until you get to know me. Most of my friends can tell you that I`m fun to be around...I just like to have a good time, and if you`re around me, I want you to have a good time too...I never try or want to be the center of attention, but I refuse to just blend into the background...

I just try to be cool... I have enough drama in my life and I don`t need anymore. Gotta be about my career and this paper...I`m chasing my dreams, and I`m gaining on them fast...What about you?

There are a lot of things that get on my nerves:

1. I don`t like stupid people
I like to at least be able
to hold a decent
conversation with you...

2. I don`t like people who try
to out do other people...

3. I don`t like "False Crunk"
people. So many dudes try too much
to prove they hard... It is
getting ridiculous. The loud
ones are usually the first
to get knocked the out!!!!

4. I don`t like "Gullible"
females. The only reason
us men do half the things
we do is because dumb females let us...Smarten
up!!! Like Goodie Mob said,
"...You gotta respect
yourself, before I can.."

5. People who use celebrity
pictures as their own on
blackplanet. Again, it is
all about how you feel
about yourself...If you
don`t think enough of
yourself to put a picture
on your page, then chances
are I won`t think that much
of you...

6. I`m not Homophobic or anything, but I`m not with that!!! I know it`s a free country and people can be with who ever they like...I love WOMEN, WOMEN, and only WOMEN...What the hell I look like hugging and feeling on another dude as muscular as me? It`s just not me...I LOVE and NEED the soft touch of a woman...It`s just me...In short, men don`t say anything to me on that tip!!! Nasty...

7. I hate the fact that all these lame dudes have made most women so scared to let a REAL MAN into their life... I don't blame women though because those lame men take on the persona of a good man until they get want they want. Which makes a real good man like myself have to convince women that our intentions are geniune-- And most women are too afraid to let another man into an already broken heart... As a good man, I am definitely up for the challenge...

I finally started using the talent the Lord gave me...my voice.

"A Good Man"

I'm convinced; There's no doubt,
I know who I am.
Some may say I'm a myth, or an anomaly;
But I call myself a "Good Man."

When a woman needs to be loved,
The prototype of her search is me.
When a lesser man breaks her heart,
I am who he claims to be.

For I am the best kept secret;
A gift that some women may never know.
But to a Good Woman, I am a gem;
And only to her will my radiance show.

In her love lies my strength,
And my strength fulfills her needs.
In my arms, she is protected;
And with my heart she is complete.

I am so convinced and there's no doubt.
I know exactly who I am.
For those who will ever inquire about me,
Here stands a Good Man.

"Heard It Before"

She told me that she's been hurt too much,
To ever love again.
Heart broken so many times,
That she doubts it will ever mend.

She said that she has been deceived so much,
That all she know are lies.
Then with a sob she said,
"Crying is the primary use for my eyes."

As I sat across from her,
Gazing into her eyes through the tears.
I then realized that she wanted to be loved,
Just couldn't get past her fears.

That very instant, I wanted to save her, to love her,
Show her there is a better way.
Let her see that I'm a grown man,
Who has out grew the games little boys play.

I then tell her to take a chance with me,
Explaining how I could love her and so much more.
With tear-filled eyes she said to me,
"I've heard that before."

I wrote this poem to because too often I've heard females say that they have been hurt a lot. Some even go as far as to say that they have never had a good relationship. These things happen--but the problem is these women may begin to think that there aren't any good men out there... And even worst, they may miss out on good men because they expect them to be just like their past men. This only makes it harder for the good man to convince a female that his intentions are good and genuine. On one hand, he has to distinguish himself from the imposters who pretend to be what a good man takes pride in being... And on the other hand, he has to try to mend the heart of a female who has been played, used, deceived, and taken for granted so much that she honestly believes that no man will ever truly love her. And what's crazy about that situation is only a good man will be able to accomplish that feat. So in short women, us good men are still out here--I'm just sorry you have to sift through all the imposters to find one...

"A Night's Journey"

I lie awake watching you sleep,
As the night's events dance through my mind.
Still catching my breath, while convincing myself,
That we just made love for the first time.

Imagination could not have dreamed,
The places we went in this room,
The waves we rode on these sheets,
Or the amount of pleasure we consumed.

We painted the walls with ecstasy.
The exact color of our passion;
And transformed the ceiling into stars,
As we ascended past them.

With nothing to hold but each other,
We climbed to a place unknown.
A place where nothing is forbidden.
A place where hidden fantasies are shown.

I lie awake watching you sleep;
Catching my breath, welcoming your embrace.
While you confirm our voyage,
With the smile on your face.

"Her Song"

The melody of her song dances off the walls,
Slightly off key, but music to my ears.
Her voice flutters like a flute,
A dead give away to all the hears.

Her body moves in unison,
Perfectly matching her sexy vibrato.
Her song is composed entirely by me,
She is my grand piano.

I know the exact keys to press,
To make her sing my favorite song.
I’ve never needed sheet music,
I’ve played her by ear for so long.

Her song always enchants me;
The best feeling song I’ve ever heard.
Night after night the lyrics may change,
But I still know every word.

The melody of her song consumes me,
So blessed to be involved in its creation.
After the last notes has been song,
I’m compelled to give her a standing ovation.

The Stranger

Excuse me Ms, don’t mean to bother you,
But I swear I’ve known you before.
You look just like the woman I gave my all to.
The woman I use to adore.

The resemblance is remarkable,
The sparkle in your eyes are the same.
Your voices are exactly identical,
And you even share her name.

But you couldn’t be her.
The woman I speak of vowed to hurt me never.
She assured me that my heart was safe,
And she promised me forever.

Pretend

Your eyes scream you want me,
And curiosity almost always leads to sin.
Infidelity can crumble any foundation,
So to remedy any heartbreaks, just pretend.

Imagination can always act out your desires,
In the sanctity of your mind.
There, no barriers can be placed on you and me,
And no repercussions of any kind.

We could be as intimate as you like,
We could be even closer than your skin.
We could even be together when he’s around.
