Wasssup, BlackPlanet?! I am from a lot of places(Brooklyn, Miami, Atlanta), so I like to hear from people all over. A little about me: I am a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting with a degree in Television and Radio Broadcasting. I work in the promotions department of 93.3 The Beat Jamz. It, like every other job, has its ups and downs but it`s where I`ve always wanted to be.


I am a student of the martial arts with a orange belt in Krav Maga and a white belt in Kung Fu. It is great for focus and discipline. I love a variety of things pretty ladies, hip-hop music, Jazz, poetry, and basically just vibin` with whoever wants to chill out. Keep in touch, my door is always open to ya. Peace.





I`m not one to make trouble, but there are some things I`ve noticed on BP that I think need attention





1)If you`re over the age of 18, please desist in using the terms "Haters" "fake people" or "drama" on your pages. It all comes off like a juvenile attempt to sound more important than you really are. Why even waste your page space addressing those so-called "haters"? It`s not like your enemies are reading it. It`s not that serious, YOU`RE not that serious. As for the "drama" thing: life is nothing if it isn`t drama. The economy stinks, we are at war, hearts get broken. It`s hard, but you`re still breathing. Keep on pushing.



2)To all the people who love using the terms "thuggin`", "thug misses", "thug lovin","ghetto fabulous", etc. please step back and get a good sniff of the crap you`re shoveling. I grew up in the ghetto at the beginning of the Crack Epidemic, and there was NOTHING fabulous about it. I witnessed firsthand how the "thug life" you dummies love so much tore an entire community apart. Every member of my family lost someone to it. Please,if not for yourselves, think of the next generation. Is that the legacy we want to leave them? With BlackPlanet, we have chance to give the entire world a different point of viewof the people darker than blue. We`re better than that, let`s show them.



3)Does anyone just TALK on BP anymore? I admit there are some very attractive(assuming the pics on their pages are indeed real)and intelligent women on BP, but this ain`t Love Connection, people! This place used to be a place where ideas were traded and networking took place, now it seems like everyone`s here trying to hook up.


4)On the issue of race: The word "chink" or the term "chinky-eyed", are derogative racial slurs for people of Asian descent. It`s like someone saying she has a "nigga-ish" nose. If you`re going to say you have their features, at least speak of them respectfully.



5)I`m not religious. I`m not whoring, killing or drugged out, I just don`t believe in organized religion or an Official Supreme Being. Just as you choose to believe, I choose not to believe. If there is a hell, I`ll be the first to say you were right. So you think you can respect that?


6)For all those "Independant Woman" out there: The word is spelled "Independent", and when you are speaking of more than one woman, the word is spelled "women". I don`t mind you asserting your individuality, it`s the bad spelling that gets to me.



7) Another spelling point: My people, The word "conversate" does not exist in the English language. The actual word is "converse".



8) This one here really gets to me: the incorrect use of the term "realist" (as in "I`m the realist!"). To describe how realistic something or someone is in perfect tense you`d say "Most Real". A realist is defined as one who is inclined to literal truth and a matter of fact way of thinking. You can be "a" realist, but you cannot be "the" realist. I might be reading too deep into it, but don`t you think it`s time someone did?



9)Why are people (male and female) using the fact that they have no kids as a major selling point? It`s one of those bits of useless trivia that`ll have people asking you sarcastic questions like "You wanna medal?" Leave it out.



10)With all due respect to those of alternative lifestyle:

a)Once you spot "Heterosexual" on the profile, kick rocks. DO NOT SEND A NOTE!! I`ll say this real simple: girls hot, guys not. It`s not flattering, it`s creepy. 11 year-old boy with a Catholic priest creepy.



b) To all the bisexual women who put "No Men!" on their page: The term Bisexual means that you are equally attracted to members of the same and opposite sex ("Bi" meaning two like "Bicycle" or "Biped"). So when you tell guys to not even bother, it implies you don`t find them attractive. That makes you a lesbian. I have no beef with your sexual identity, but it seems that you might.

11) I`ve seen a lot of women`s BP pages that stress that the men they meet be "real" with "no drama" and that they can`t stand liars. What I want to know is how real have you been? If one were to inventory your relationship life, could you say you were always honest? That you didn`t GIVE as much drama as you got? Could you say that in your demand that someone be real you weren`t hiding parts of yourself? I don`t mean to be rude, I just want to know.
