How to Grow Longer, Healthier Hair

Posted

1. First, throw out the Pink Oil Moisturizer, Blue Magic, Royal Crown or any other variations that you may use. The mineral oil in these products justs sits on top of the hair, it does not moisturize. Find a good water based moisturizer that can actually penetrate your hair strands. Seal in the moisture with an oil such as olive oil or coconut oil.

2. Find a sulfate-free shampoo. Sulfates strip the hair so that's why your hair often feels dry after a wash. Follow up with... (continue reading)

What's Really Going on in the Music Industry?

Posted

Here is an excerpt from Tiffany Evans' (R&B singer) Twitter that she later denied: "Man! I really wish I could tell you guys what the industry really is and what stars are apart of destroying this world. The stars who worship satan, and those who have killed to get the respect they have now. You?d be verrrry surprise. Some of your favorite people pretend to worship God but they only do that to save face. Or seem innocent. Satan was head of music in heaven. He uses influential... (continue reading)

Why I Distance Myself from Rap Music

Posted

I'm not feeling how songs are increasingly becoming more explicit and as if the artists/song writers put no effort into making the song. There has been a noticeable decline in music since the late 90s, early 2000s. Unlike old school songs nothing is left to the imagination and all respect and dignity is thrown out of the window. All a song needs now is a good beat (sometimes a dance) and a lot of black people eat it up. If you don't go along with the masses you're a hater because they're... (continue reading)

personal message

I'm from the midwest, born and raised. I'm happily in a relationship and NOT looking, for the people who don't read everything. I'm just on here to vent a little and have something to do on my down time. I just got my MPH and I want to eventually work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a health educator focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention and developing interventions. I work hard at everything I do and I am very ambitious. In the end I just want to be able to say that I helped out people in the best way that I could.

Every 9½ minutes someone in the US is infected with HIV. I got the facts. Act Against AIDS: NineAndaHalfMinutes.org

Things That Make Me Upset:

1)When there's "not enough" money to put the right type and amount of books and computers into public schools but they'll spend trillions of dollars on wars that are not always justified.

2)When some black people talk about not voting. They didn't march in the 60's,get attacked by dogs, and sprayed with water hoses just for something to do.

3)Females who dress like something from Magic City and get mad when they get disrespected. If a female shows little concern in how she presents herself,a male is less likely to show concern on how he comes at her.Just because all these female performers wear panties and heels doesn't mean it`s cool.

4)When people in perfectly good health do nothing but sit around and collect welfare checks to buy unecessary things while other people work hard at work and school to put food on the table and make a way for themselves.Welfare should only be used as a stepping stone not a life-time guarantee.

5) Females who get big headed and think they're America's Next Top Model because guys try to holla at them. Being real, as long as you're female, breathing, and keep your hair halfway combed, someobody will get at you. On another note, just because a guy asks how you are doing DOES NOT mean he wants you.

6) Guys who think it's alright to call a female 'lil mama', 'babygirl', 'mama', or go 'psst' when he's trying to talk to her. That's not cute. If you're over 17 years old there's no excuse for this.

 Things wrong on BP

1) Women who think it's cute to have screen names like bustitbaby, #1tipdrill, fattygirl, or whatever terminology rappers are using to refer to women at the time. Those words are not compliments, I don't care how you twist it or how he tries to word it.

2) People who think this is find-a-mate.com. One time some fool gave me everything but his social security number and pulled a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde when I didn't give him my number. I've gotten a couple requests to meet up with somebody who's going to be in town. That's something that needs to be asked of bustitbaby #1, not midweztlove.

3) Folks who talk about having a car, job, and money like that's makes them a good catch automatically. "Ya boy got a '98 Cutlass, a job, and stay fitted. Ladies holla at ya boy." Come on now. If that's all a woman needs to hear don't be she suprised if she has less than admirable qualities.

2 truths and a lie

Two of these are true about me. No joke. Which one's the lie? Take a guess...
