personal message

My name is K. Clarke.

I'm into writing entertainment movie reviews as well as screenplays.

I'm also an independent filmmaker.

Some of my favorite films include Star Wars a classic film that's bigger than life; it's influential in society and has become an icon of pop culture.

Indiana Jones the greatest action film of all time.
JFK- Oliver Stone's powerful account of USA governmental corruption that ruined America's innocence.

Do the Right Thing-Spike Lee's masterpiece details racial tensions was far ahead of it's time with realism and human interaction.

Psycho-Hitchcock's greatest achievement was the first to explore schizophrenia and paranoia realistically. It has great music, suspense and acting.

Some other great films on my list are Unfogiven, The Third Man, Dark City, 2001, E.T., Pulp Fiction,Platoon, and Vertigo.
I'm a big film buff and a fan of great directors and am influenced by Hitchcock( the greatest), Spielberg, Oliver Stone, Orson Welles, Spike Lee,Scorsese, Kurosawa, Truffaut, Godard, Antonioni, Kubrick, Lang, Hawks, Eastwood, Carol Reed, Capra, Billy Wilder, Bergman, Fellini, Sirk, Bresson, Coppola, Ford, Huston, etc.

My Favorite Musicians are Jay-Z, Public Enemy, Kanye West and Michael Jackson to Nirvana, Korn, the Police, Duran Duran and the Beatles.

I've always been a Comic Book fan, I'm happy that some of my favorites have been turned into movies.

Some of my favorites are the X-men, Wolverine (in production), The Punisher, Daredevil, 300, and my favorite-Sin City by Frank Miller, who also wrote and drew the 300 comic. Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons is the greatest comic series ever and the movie will be out in 2009.

The most influential comic book creator is writer-artist Jack Kirby (not Stan Lee). Kirby actually created a lot of the most important characters like Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Silver Surfer and the Hulk, among others. Years ago artists were not allowed to get both writer and artist credit. A lot of the stories Lee is credited for, Kirby actually wrote the plots for and developed. Most of the greatest artists and writers in the industry like Frank Miller, Alan Moore, John Byrne, Jim Starlin,Jim Lee maybe would not be around if not for Kirby's originality and genius. Kirby is the Hitchcock of comics.

I like Sports my favorite is Football.
Hopefully the writer's strike will be over soon so I can see my favorite TV shows like 24 (the best), Prison Break, Heroes, House, and Pushing Daises.

I have various artistic interests and I would like to network with others out there who would like me to write movie reviews or other entertainment news and also may want to collaborate on a film I would direct.
