Yeah, what's going on with you?................. how you doing?.................. how your moma doing?.............. whats going on with your uncle Betty on your daddy's side? (LOL)........, I'M update my personal message and I think this is everything that needs to be said about me.................. I am not in the rapper little wanye , or the boss Ricky Ross, I do not have a Rolls-Royce or a car on 26's. I am not jay Z nor Heuy P. Newton or Donald Trump. I do not own stock in a parent Corporation that values its profits over human life. I do not have a rap album on the charts with my sister's of any color to show all their color. Or a video on Asian owned but somehow steal black BET. I do not have endless pictures on my MySpace. Nor do I scream Yahoo when there's simply no reason to in a sommer less season of ignorance and poverty, homelessness and death of our minds spirit and body. I am not as patient as my lovely mother or as religious as my father when my doves cry there simply not tissue enough for their tears. I'm not handling it well and this is not 1921, so hopefully I won't be burned at the stake for heavens sake! I am not the nude Negro editor Allan locke. I am not the black plague, or the great white hope, hopelessly romanticize and my problems away with a bottle, or a joint, or a needle, or even Pepsi the choice of a new generation. I am not migration nor am I manipulation prematurely ejaculating politically on our ever misguided nation. I am not Hitler nor Hemingway nor all the blessed words the Bible and the Koran say. I am not ready to lead my people. I am not off probation or on parole and on my life the system is surely taking its toll. What I am is a father of five, a full-time student with a 3.7, a nonprofit director that helps felons start their own business. What I am is confused, and unhappy, and undecided, and unforgiving, and unrelated, and just not willing to stop. Any ears, because I am, just not ready to be done yet. What I am, what I am is a black man!............... I host poetry most Wednesday nights..................., I am a photographer, I'm an artist............ I used to rap but I have been real big on this conflict I have on what I want to say and how I want to lead our people to something better., I'm a comedian & YA I GETS DOWNNNNNNN! |
