Ronell "Nell" Nealy was born in New York in 1979. He has lived throughout the US since 1998 and is primarily a self-taught artist. Nell discovered his artistic talents at an early age. He was turned on to art at the age of eight when his uncle, who was an artist, gave him a box of art supplies. It was then that Nell discovered his love for art. Ronell was called Nell for short by family members and soon took the name permanently. Nell first experienced art through street graffiti and later attended high school at School of the Arts where he received formal training in photography and visual arts.
