To the people checking in on me, my friends and family

If this is your first time here please check out my original artwork at the bottom of this page!

I don't do the IM's or Yahoo. Too much like work to keep up with folks.

If you have visited this page drop a note if you want to be a friend just stopping in to be on my recent visitors log does not tell me if you want to be a friend or not.
I am a proud single dad of one teen aged daughter. She is my best friend and I'm glad to be her hero.

Wow would you believe my little girl is on her way to being a sophomore in college? She is leaving on August 8th to start a new semester. I was glad to see her this summer and I was glad she was able to get through her freshman year without too many distractions. She is singing in a school choir and it has helped her voice when she sings here at home. It was fun backing her up with my guitar when she sang solos at church and in an impromptu group.

I would like to thank all of the many women who offered advice when my child's mother passed away. These women that are a part of her life a and mine are still giving great advice and support. I am sure that the community in which I raise my daughter will have her to be one that makes a difference. I can see her growth as she tells me what she needs to succeed that points to her maturity. This from the baby that used to fit on one arm and look up to me smiling with a look like she knew we would be this close.

I am both proud and have admiration for who she is and becoming.

Thank you to those that pointed the way when she needed help writing essays for grants and pointing out scholarships that where available. Knowledge applied is power and you have helped both of us to be empowered. Now she is reaching for a degree in counseling with a minor of music. It's my time to work on myself as she readies for her future.

I did get her permission to date but not to marry because she says she is the one who will hold interviews!! Women can be bossy and nosy

I have no issue against women with children but at this point in my life if I
am in a relationship I know that I do not want to share and compete for attention and love with children. It would be very unfair to any woman, child and for myself.

For me I would love to find a person that could spend time talking,
visualizing, exploration and fun.

Fine print is:

I am a hopeless romantic, gentleman and lover of God. If you spent time to read this in the small print understand that I love music and I draw a lot of power from music. If you meet me face to face and are around me long enough you will know what I mean.

Time to get out my pad and pencil to plan my year, five and ten year goals. Things change people change plans change but one thing is for sure without a plan there is no direction.

Not fun!!!

I love writing down a plan of action. Where I'll be by the end of this year and my hopes for five years and further

There is no other purpose nobler than being a father to a child but now she is an adult. Time to show the young woman the possibilities and what to look forward to after she gets my age and her next steps and to make it look fun!

Yes that is A NASCAR link and I am a NASCAR Fan!

The work and the progress

This is an up date. To me and that is Doing the same thing over and over again can get you into a rut. For years I have been fighting through pain from an on the job injury. Playing off a major injury medicating is not the way I chose to go. A new thing for me is finding a chiropractor. Next is getting my weight under control. It is not easy to work out when you can hardly move. Those friends that like a big man do not worry I can't loose enough muscle tissue to be anything but big. Only... (continue reading)

A good friend to me

Posted August 08th, 2008 at 03:56am

Theres too many times we look for complicated things to fulfill us in life. We look for the queen that stands statuesque and seems perfect no flaws. That does not do it after the days go on and her beauty is an everyday appearance. Driving the best cars, big homes, big bank accounts does not do it like this one thing works for me.

I love hearing my lovely woman in my life laugh. It is something special when I call and hear a voice have a great conversation and we look at life in... (continue reading)

It takes faith: Drivers Training

Posted June 30th, 2008 at 09:06pm

Wow! Most of this year has passed and I am feeling pretty good about some of the things I have accomplished this year. Some of the things I am going through is tough and will be as always a work in progress but other things make the ride so much easier to endure.
Fun things like turning over the wheel of my car to my daughter are part of the fun. The fear all of her friends show when I sit on the passenger side of the car is a crack up. How some of the young people of this generation think... (continue reading)

From a unique place in my faith

Posted May 24th, 2008 at 10:59pm

Today I am looking back on these last few months. Life is strange but it can work its way to show what a person is made of. Less than 5 years ago I had the perfect job, I was doing very well physically, spiritually and emotionally even owned a 4 bedroom home in Northern California. I always could be called a Bible thumper reading through the bible several times I made sure never to judge my fellow man but to encourage them to believe in hard times. Sharing and sacrificing for family, friends... (continue reading)

Honest listening

Posted April 26th, 2008 at 08:38pm

I love conversation and some times a great talk can make the day go by so much smoother and easier. Times we are both looking in the same direction and have the same understanding with a person of the opposite sex is to live for... But and this is the huge but that would dwarf an elephant. One of my most irritating issue after being in a relationship when it comes to women is they simply do not wait for the information that is coming. Often times they are so busy commenting or asking questions... (continue reading)
