This is the official RefleXions Blackplanet Music Page. RefleXions is not your typical vocal band. They have received acclaim for the richness in talent, message and style. They first gained distinction for their melodious acapella performances, the five-member group blends to create signature tight harmonies by co-mingling male and female voices with various elements of musical genre of music called Eye-Soul, which incorporates an R&B, Hip Hop and Funk style into their already unique harmony mix. (Think Black eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Jill Scott, Take 6 and a Creed message...mixed together) Their sound, style and lyrics sets them apart from other groups because of songs that deal with the insight into today's culture as it relates to relationships and social consciousness. All five members are talented songwriters whose music is enjoyed by audiences of all musical tastes. Originally formed in 1991 by Crews(Tenor), the now DC-Metro Area based group was eventually joined by Wayde(bass), Ariane(Soprano), Shanna(Alto) and Rod(Baritone). RefleXions transcends race barriers with its culturally diverse members hailing from Jamaica, Brazil and the US. Reflexions has performed across the United States from Washington DC to California and with artists from all musical backgrounds: Take 6 and Tonex are just to name a few.
