about the artist

REIN is a conduit, simply put. She is Light. Her music is- TRUTH to rhythm. POWER to desolate. Release to bound. Appropriately titled as Inspirational, you don't just listen to Rein's music. You become it. You feel it. You relate to it. You absorb it. You grow.

Rein; born Heireina Johnson, a native of San Francisco, CA, most often describes her music as contemplation music with lyricism that tells the stories about life we most often ignore (life after rape, molestation, bulimia and anorexia, low self esteem divorce, and domestic violence- many real life issues and how God restores), and as the sound track to the soul. She coins this style of music, Neo-Inspirational.

This diva and musical/lyrical prodigy is undoubtedly a true and seasoned artist who has garnered a reputation for becoming the Beyonce of Inspirational sound and dynamic performance - and is most often coined a look-a-like for Joann Rosario- but is a woman and artist, and lyrical minister in her own right. Her writing is compelling and heart-felt. Her infectious stories set to music engage the heart, soul, and mind. Her humble and compassionate spirit has made her a local sought after artist, and she continues to draw attention nationally and from other seasoned artists/ music professionals including the music mogul Warryn Campbell, Mary Mary, Erik Dawkins (placing 3rd in the Got Talent Showcase) along with Lexi and the Word Network (as a semi-finalist in the Gospel F.O.C.U.S competition).

Rein's prolific musical talents have afforded her many opportunities to fall comfortably into the music industry. She is a rising star with a personal mission to restore the integrity of soul music within the industry. Like most artists, Rein got her start singing in the church, eventually expanding that focus to praise and worship leader and preacher. Her dream of becoming an artist began to take form after having come through devastating life experiences such as rape, molestation, physical and verbal abuse and bulimia. She simply began to write - and slowly she began to sing her stories. After "testing" her songs out in local yet renowned venues such as Rasella's Jazz & Supper Club (a Gospel/Inspirational first there). Kimball's East (where the likes of Rachelle Ferrell and countless others have graced the stage) and at Oakland's annual Art & Soul fest and San Francisco's Gospel by the Bay -to overwhelming acceptance and response- she knew it was time to follow God's direction and take the music to the nations.

While not a "traditional" Gospel Artist per se, her music is nonetheless spiritually infused and is simply the TRUTH as she charges beings to seek out their highest plane and highest purpose set to melodic grooves and bangin' tracks. The focus is always Christ! Rein's hard work and dedication to her craft and ministry is gaining her more and more attention in the music industry. She has shared the stage with Helen Baylor, Afeni Shakur (Tupac's mom), The renowned Hawkins, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Byron Cage, Michael McDonald & Oleta Adams (local events), and the list continues to grow.

With her sights set on reaching the world and impacting notably the music industry at large, we expect great things from Rein. Her debut album soon to launch - Conversation Peace- is a collective of excerpts into the life and experiences of REIN the woman, and is a blend of soul, neo-soul, pop, rock, and Inspiration sure to offer you something you can dance to, think on, and relate to. Rein is unequivocally the next BIG thing in Inspirational music. A diva, a darling, a minister, and humble servant this girl is going places FAST.

Donald Brown

A Sculptor's Passion

Sculpting Email: artistadmin@gmail.com
Website: http://www.donaldbrown.tv

He has been dubbed 'The Rennaissance Man' for over a quarter of a century by his native countrymen and admirers in England.

However, since the first of his many visits and guest appearances at red carpet events in the U.S., Donald Brown has and continues to take America by storm with his amazing limited edition works of art that are true Twenty-First Century masterpieces.

By the age of 14, Donald drew national television and media attention for his sculptures. However, his first university degree application was rejected on the grounds that there was no one at the university capable of teaching him anything new where his technique and ability was concerned.

His second application was successful as he opted to study the history of art the following year and Brown later graduated with a BA Honors Degree in Fine Art Sculpture in 1988 from Wolverhampton University in England.
What makes Donald so unique is that he is self taught and even from the tender age of ten he chose to ignore those who discouraged him from making, what they viewed as, an unwise career choice. He however, pursued his dream of becoming a sculptor. Now the international demand for his works have excelled even his expectations.

1) Dr. Maya Angelou "Donald Brown is impressive. His approach to material and his respect for material combine to make his art quite wonderful."

2) Congressman John "Everytme I see your sculptures I am very impressed. Lewis I've got my eye on the Genius sculpture, it's a great masterpiece."

3) Smokey Robinson "Your work is incredible."

4) Lerone Bennett "The Bennetts will always be indebted to you for your vision and touch."

5) Terrie Williams "Art work that is soul stirring and mind provoking."

6) John Amos "I regard Donald Brown as a true Rennaissance Man. With his talents and literally in every area of
the art world, Donald Brown is destined to become recognized on a global basis."

Recipients of his works, courtesy of The Ted Turner Trumpet Awards (98 & 99) include General Colin Powell, Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds, Coach Eddie Robinson, Jackie Joyner Kersee, John 'Buck' O'Neil, Smokey Robinson, Jessye Norman, Deloris Jordan (mother of Michael Jordan), Barbara Sinatra, Bryant Gumbel, Kweisi Mfume and Debbie Allen.

Establishments such as Morehouse College, The Nigerian Embassy in Washington D.C., The NAACP and the ANC in South Africa own a Donald Brown.

Many owners expressed the profound effect that his works and the symbolisms behind his sculptures continue to have on them.

Donald Brown has and continues to take the art of sculpture to a whole new level and is without doubt one of (if not) the hottest rising sculptor on the planet
