JOHN ANTHONY BLACKBURN

Anthony built his R&B credentials singing around town and winning talent shows. He was the oldest of two growing up, and it was not an option on Sunday were he had to be (at Church). With his strong spiritual grounding and the passion to sing, at church with his mother and the school choirs is where he would receive his vocal training.

Anthony is best known for rocking his soulful gospel voice with music that mixes streetwise hip-hop and smooth R&B flavor concerning LOVE. He was apart of one of Springfield’s R&B groups, Quiet Storm QS. He has shared the same stage with Sinbad the comedian and won contest that landed him backstage at the Jazz Festival with New Edition.

Anthony first recorded effort as a solo act, with producer Mario Riolize Williams “No One Else,” the song was to be featured as a single in 1999. He first appeared on the album Monico Drive presents True Talent in 2006 .His solo debut album, “My Life,” was to be released featuring producers like (BSD) Big Shawn Don, Jeff Allan, and long time friend Mario Realize Williams underground by himself in 2006 when he was as he would call it (struck down like Paul). After this Anthony made a life changing decision to walk away from R&B music and the lifestyle in order to live a life that is pleasing to God.

It was prophesized that GOD loved him so much that he did not let him experience that type of career (Worldly music).

He returned to his Father House and began to sing songs of praise with his Church family St. John Missionary Baptist. There he would be lead by GODS council Pastor Ernest Brown, Minister Par Tolliver along with an anointed group of leaders that he thanks GOD for everyday.

His song ALL THINGS IN U marked the transition of Anthony musical career and personal and spiritual life. The Book of JOHN is the result of Anthony’s life-changing decision. It is not aimed just at Gospel fans but at the lest, last and the lost. The single (ALL THINGS IN U) is as much of a purging for Anthony himself as he hopes it will be a primer for those going through the same challenges he has faced.

The Book of John is a life-changing project for Anthony and his prayer is that it will be a blessing when it is completed and released.

Hold On

The new single- Hold On - Released today on my page from the CD project ( The Book Of John ) All things R possible. The CD will be released on Aug, 29 , 2010 and I pray that is minister to you as it minister to me. This CD is a testimonal of my life, How GOD is the only one that can fill that empty place and change your heart. Once that happened all things became possible. I know now that GOD has charged me with the ministry for men and to share with them the importance of loving your wife as Christ loved the Church and gave his life for it. Amen Pray for me
