Gargamel Music, Inc. is pleased to announce that dancehall- reggae icon Buju Banton's critically acclaimed Too Bad has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album of 2006.
Since it's US release on September 12th, Too Bad has received rave reviews from the Associated Press, Billboard, Village Voice, Jamrock, The Source, Vibe, Riddim and many other prestigious outlets. The 2006 Grammy nod is Buju Banton's fourth. He was previously recognized for the albums Friends for Life (2003), Inna Heights (1997) and Til Shiloh (1995). This year, Banton is also a featured guest artist on 2006 Grammy-nominated projects by Tego Calderon (The Underdog/El Subestimado) and Salif Keita (M'Bemba).
Be sure to catch this weekend's episode of BET's Rap City Top 10 Countdown with Buju aka Gargamel hanging tough with host Mad Linx at the legendary Moodie's Records on White Plains Rd. in the Bronx. The show airs twice on Saturday: at 1pm and 5pm on BET.
