Amanyia a Spoken Word Artist who began writing lyrically in 1987 for the group DC10 made her transition to Spoken Word/Poetry in the fall of 2007, focusing her creative thinking and written pen on love, life and reality. Having a rich sultry voice her style and flow can arouse the imagination, from storytelling to thought provoking her spoken words are finding their way into different genres such as, Jazz, Experimental, Freestyle, Motivational, Pop, Rock, and even Hip Hop. In 2008 she produced and released her first My Spoken Words CD, writing the lyrics, and composing 95% its musical tracks. She has also co-written and collaborated on several other musical artist projects, and feel her inspirations are from LIFE, FAMILY, FRIENDS, many diversified lyrical poets and musical blends.
